A small shop, made slowly, in plain language.
Soothemade Notes is a small studio making printables, planners, and cards for the long, slow, mostly-unphotographed parts of new parenthood. The 3 a.m. parts. The doorbell parts. The "I should be fine by now" parts.
What we make is not a system. It's not a productivity hack. It's not a routine designed by someone who hasn't lived in the postpartum body since 1996. It's a handful of small, considered things you can use through the season and then quietly put down when it's over.
What you'll find here
A growing catalog of printables — currently planners, card decks, recovery guides, and a postpartum mind journal. Plus a journal of short essays, sent every other Sunday to anyone who wants them. Plus the occasional free printable for anyone on the list.
We do not subscribe to "crush it," "rise and grind," or "every minute counts." We do not believe you should be journaling, gratitude-listing, and ab-strengthening in the same week your milk came in. We are quietly, openly opposed to most of the things you've been told to do.
Made by a person, helped by tools
Each product is researched, voiced, designed, and reviewed by a real human (Maya, the studio's founder, postpartum doula, mom of two). The tools we use to make them faster — research assistants, layout helpers, render pipelines — are tools, the way a sewing machine is a tool. They do not write your letter, and they do not decide what you need.
Everything you read in our products and on this site was read end-to-end by a human before it was shipped.
What this is not
- Medical advice. We will say "see your provider" so many times you'll mock us for it. We will also be right.
- A subscription, a membership, or a community. You buy a printable, you keep it forever, you owe us nothing else.
- A megaphone. Soothemade is a small thing on purpose. If we ever get larger, the voice you read here is what we are accountable to.
Where the name comes from
It's "soothe" plus "-made." It rhymes with "homemade" because that's the register. The things in this shop are made — slowly, by hand, with the unphotographed days in mind.
